Storm compete in St. Louis at Lindenwood Open

ST. LOUIS - Highlighted by Breydon Paxson claiming gold in the men's sporting competition, the Simpson College shooting sports team headed down to St. Louis for the Lindenwood Open.

Paxson has been a standout for the Storm this year, with his score of 93 in the shooting event his second-best score of the year in the discipline. Showing off his versatility, Paxson previously won the men's trap event at the NCSSAA Regional Qualifier with a perfect score of 100 and also took home the high athlete overall gold medal. The junior from Indianola also claimed gold in men's skeet at the Iowa 4-Year Collegiate Championship, meaning he has won every event and overall competition at least once this season.

Kylie Tierney was the top woman for the Storm, including a second-place finish on the team in skeet with a score of 93. Riley Ericson finished in second on the team in trap (94), sporting (79), and high athlete overall (265).
