Storm men move to eighth in regional poll
NEW ORLEANS -- After competing in the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational on Friday, the Simpson College men's cross country team drops a spot to eighth in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Midwest Region Rankings, the organization announced Tuesday.
The Storm men finished fifth out of 24 teams last week, led by junior Spencer Moon with a fourth-place performance.
Five teams from the American Rivers Conference are represented In the USTFCCCA Midwest Region Top-10 Poll. Wartburg holds steady in first place, while Loras is fifth and Central climbed two spots to sixth and Luther fell to seventh.
Simpson competes in the Jim Drews Invitational on Friday, Oct. 15 for its final tune-up before the American Rivers Conference Championships at the end of the month. Competition will begin at 4:30 p.m. in West Salem, Wisconsin.
