DAVENPORT, Fla. – The Simpson College baseball team was shut out 6-0 by Saint John's in a lightning-shortened game.
The Johnnies (5-2) struck early, scoring three runs off a pair of home runs in the third and fourth innings. They added three more in the fifth before the game was halted due to a lightning delay. The contest was ultimately called in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Trenten Kingrey led the Storm (4-8) with two hits.
