Storm roll past Fighting Tigers to wrap Spring Break trip

DAVENPORT, Fla. – Home runs from Drew Carlson and Sam Campin along with a three-RBI performance by Ian Baldwin powered the Simpson College baseball team to a 12-2 victory in its Florida finale.

Carlson hit one over the fence to give Simpson (5-8) a 1-0 lead in the first, and Campin followed suit with a three-run bomb in the second to aid the Storm to a 4-1 advantage. Simpson steadily added to its lead the rest of the way, scoring at least once in every inning but the sixth for its second run-rule victory of the year.

Simpson's four pitchers combined for 12 strikeouts, with Carlson tallying five in the final three innings. Jackson Urban and Dante Dolash recorded three apiece.
