Zeb Noel's arm, bat come up big in 9-6 win over AIB

DES MOINES, Iowa – Zeb Noel used his arm and his bat to help the Simpson baseball team beat AIB 9-6 on Monday.
Noel drove in four runs and threw four innings of two-hit relief to help the Storm (5-15) snap a five-game losing streak. He went 3-for-5 at the plate and hit the game-tying, two-RBI single in the third.
Austin Burlin drove in the go-ahead run with a two-out single in the fourth, and Bud Smith drew a bases-loaded walk as Simpson took a 6-4 lead and never looked back. Jonathan Greiner went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Brock Borgeson recorded the final three outs in a non-save situation.
Zach Close and Jacob Jouris each went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Eagles (14-16), who beat Simpson 18-5 in the Storm's home opener on March 18.
