Storm collect two titles at A-R-C Dance & Cheer Invite

PELLA, Iowa -- The Simpson cheer and dance teams performed at the American Rivers Conference Competitive Dance and Cheer Invitational on Sunday, with the dance team earning first in the Jazz and Hip-Hop divisions.

The dance team garnered first in Hip-Hop by tallying 92 points, just clipping second-place Central, which scored 91. In the jazz competition, the Storm secured a four-point victory over Central, 94-90. In the Pom event, Simpson finished in second with a score of 91.66, just four points behind first-place Central.

In the cheer competition, the Storm earned a Performance of Merit plaque due to having the lone entry in the Coed Stunt Division. The team scored 21.50 points. The cheer squad received third in the 5-Person Stunt.
