INDIANOLA - Senior 149-pounder Caleb Brus closed his dual career with a dramatic win, but Central picked up three, one-point wins en-route to a 28-9 win in the regular season finale Wednesday night.

Brus earned career victory No. 96 on the night, moving him into a tie for 12th on Simpson's all-time win list. His reversal in the final seconds of the third period against Joe Atwell wiped out a 6-5 deficit, giving the senior a 7-6 triumph in his final match at Hopper Gymnasium.

The Storm (2-13, 0-8 Iowa Conference) also got wins from Derek Entz at 141 pounds and Justin Bruce at 174. Entz used a nearfall in the third period for a 2-0 win over Eric Wilkerson and Bruce erased a 5-1, first-period deficit with six-straight takedowns in a 16-10 win over Tommy Van Renterghem.

Josh Atwell, Reid Imerman and Greg Barner all earned one-point wins for the Dutch (10-9, 3-4). Atwell held off Calvin Barber for a 4-3 win at 157 pounds, Imerman denied a last-second escape attempt by Cory Stratton for a 6-5 win at 165 pounds and Barner got a point for riding time in a 5-4 win over Jordy Ammons at 184 pounds.

Simpson now looks to the Iowa Conference Championships, which will be held at Cowles Fieldhouse on Friday, Feb. 25.
