Storm compete in final tune-up before league championships

AMES, Iowa -- In the final tune-up before the American Rivers Conference Championships next weekend, the Simpson women's golf squad finished sixth at the DMACC Invitational on Monday.

Hosted at the Ames Country Club, same venue the A-R-C Championships will take place at, the Storm tallied a 397 at the event.

Senior Emily Jansen fired an 88 for a season low, while classmate Megan Crockett tied a season-best 95. Freshman Sydney Stephenson shot a 98, while fellow rookie Hannah Mulligan entered the clubhouse with a 116 for a personal best.

The Storm return back to Ames Country Club on Oct. 10 for the three-day A-R-C Championships.
