Simpson women’s golf competes in Graceland Invitational

LAMONI, Iowa -- For the second week in a row, senior Emily Jansen tallied the best finish for the Simpson women's golf team, this time coming at the Graceland Invitational on Saturday. As a unit, the Storm ended sixth.

At the Lamoni Golf Course, Jansen fired a 96 to finish tied for 24th, which bests her placing of 33rd last week. Freshman Sydney Stephenson carded 31st-place, while senior Megan Crockett ended a spot behind her teammate.

Junior Averi Peck made her debut for the Storm on Saturday to end fourth on the team and freshman Hannah Mulligan improved by 17 strokes from her last week's lowest single round total.

Simpson will compete in the Buena Vista Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 26. Action will take place at the Lake Creek Golf Course for the single-day event.
