Rollison garners ECAC Rookie of the Week accolades

DANBURY, Conn. – For the second week in a row, the Simpson College men's gymnastics team was represented on the ECAC weekly honor roll as Brian Rollison was named Rookie of the Week.

Rollison broke his own school record on rings with an impressive 13.900, the fifth-highest score by a Simpson gymnast on any event the last two seasons. He tied Illinois' Sebastian Ingersoll for second place with his effort. He has earned a 13.200 or higher in each of his four outings this season.

Rollison joins Jake Smith and Sterling Pariza as weekly honorees from Simpson this season. Pariza was named Gymnast of the Week on Jan. 7 and Smith was honored as Rookie of the Week on Feb. 6.

The Storm host No. 1 Oklahoma this Saturday inside Cowles Fieldhouse.
