Catchpole, Pariza achieve All-America awards
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Sophomores Alex Catchpole and Sterling Pariza achieved All-American status on parallel bars on the final day of the USA Gymnastics Championships.
Catchpole placed fourth with a 13.050 and Pariza finished fifth with a 12.600. This is Catchpole's first career All-American award, while Pariza now has three; he was an All-American on floor last season and earned the same recognition last night as an all-around competitor.
Brian Rollison and Michelangelo Villani narrowly missed All-American distinction for their performances, both ranking seventh in their events. Rollison earned a 12.450 on rings and Villani claimed a 13.650 on vault. Milo Staley also qualified for the finals on vault and received a 12.800.

Simpson will switch gears to the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships taking place in Springfield, Mass. on April 6.
