Storm to host final weekend of IIAC Championship

INDIANOLA, Iowa — The Simpson men's golf team will host the final two rounds of the 2017 Iowa Conference Championship beginning Friday morning from Indianola Country Club. The first flight of golfers is scheduled to tee off at 10 a.m.

This year's tournament has been shortened to 54 holes instead of the scheduled 72 due to the cancellation of last weekend's second round at Finkbine in Iowa City. The Storm are currently in sixth place of nine teams but find themselves in tightly-contested group of six teams separated by just 17 strokes.

Reid Cobb led the Storm by shooting an 80 last Friday at Finkbine, good for a tie for sixth place in the individual standings. Simpson golfers will play with Loras and Wartburg and tee off beginning at 10:45 a.m.
