Men’s golf takes sixth at rain-shortened Graceland Invitational

MARYVILLE, Mo. — Korbin Sesker carded a 2-over 74 to tie for seventh and the Simpson men's golf team finished sixth of 10 teams at the Graceland Invitational, which was shortened to one round due to excessive rain and cold temperatures on Saturday. 

Simpson shot 313 as a team at Mozinga Lake Golf Course on Friday, March 24. Simpson finished two strokes back of Lindenwood-Belleville and five ahead of Iowa Lakes CC. Kansas City Kansas CC won the tournament with a 296 in the first round.

Sesker led the Storm, finishing four back of winner Hunter Baggett of Culver-Stockton. Nick Hartman, Andrew Lallier and Blake Bender posted top-30 finishes. Hartman shot a 7-over 79 to tie for 24th while Lallier and Bender shot an 8-over 80 to tie for 26th. 

Reid Cobb (t-49th) and Nick Baumhover (t-52nd) rounded out the Storm's lineup.
