Simpson heads to Lincoln to open A-R-C play

INDIANOLA, Iowa – Coming off a thrilling 48-46 road win, the Simpson College football team heads to Lincoln to open American Rivers Conference play against Nebraska Wesleyan.

HEAD-TO-HEAD SERIES

  • The Prairie Wolves lead the all-time series 10-7-2, but Simpson has won three of the last four matchups.

  • The Storm are first in the league and third in the nation with 788 passing yards. Nine of Simpson's 11 touchdowns have been scored through the air.

LAST WEEKEND IN MINNESOTA

  • Simpson collected the first win of the Reed Hoskins era on the road against Crown.
  • The Storm mounted a huge second half comeback on their way to a 48-46 victory, scoring 27 unanswered points after falling behind 40-21 early in the third.
  • Simpson amassed 607 yards of total offense, rushing for a season-high 219.
  • J Jensen III threw for 388 yards and five touchdowns, finding Reed Worth twice as well as Tristan Bushey, Cole Staska and Desmond Alexander. Jerad Fischer and Danny Rankins Jr. both scored on the ground.
  • Eldred Boria led the defense with 11 tackles, an interception and two pass breakups. CJ Hangartner had six tackles and Payton Betts chipped in five tackles, an interception and two pass breakups.
