Bursting onto the scene for the men's team this season has been freshman hurdler, Dylan Kalinay. The reigning IIAC Performer of the Week comes into the weekend with the conference's top time in the 60-meter hurdles, breaking the tape in 8.33 at the UNI Dome Open last Friday. He has won two hurdles events this season and hasn't placed outside of the top three in 2015.

The Storm also have high hopes for multi-talented Isaac Frazier. In addition to the Heptathlon, the sophomore will also compete in the 60 hurdles and his specialty, the high jump. Frazier cleared 6-feet, 8-inches at the Cornell Hilltop Invite on Jan. 31, currently the No. 3 effort in the conference. He netted 4,136 points (third in the IIAC) in his lone try at the Heptathlon back on Jan. 23-34 at the Dutch Athletics Classic.

Distance runner Nick Yaeger hopes to score points in the Mile and 3k, coming in with the No. 10 and No. 8 times in the conference, respectively. Shot-putter Chris McKinnon looks to build on his season-best heave set a week ago, as he comes in with the No. 8 effort (44-3 1/4).

On the women's side, senior Bayley Fleshner will be in the running to capture an elusive conference title in the 60-meter hurdles. A three-time all-conference performer in the hurdles, Fleshner placed third as a freshman in 2012, third again as a sophomore in 2013 and moved up to second in 2014. She currently ranks third in the event (9.16), but is well within striking distance of leaders Elizabeth Brandenburg (Loras) and Meredith Zimmerman (Central).

After a strong finish to the cross country season, Briana McCloskey has hopes of reaching the podium in the 3k and 5k. She owns the seventh-quickest time in the 3k (10:50.86) and has yet to run a 5k in her career. A sophomore, McCloskey will be competing at the IIAC Indoor Championships for the first time.
