Storm women place second in Florida
BRADENTON, Fla. - The Simpson College women's golf team placed second at the Shenandoah Spring Fling in Florida.
The Storm came into the final day in third place, but beat Maryville by 11 strokes to move up to second place by four shots. Madeline Streicher led the Storm with rounds of 92 and 88, as all five Storm golfers finished in the top 15.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Streicher led the Storm by tying for fourth with a two-day total of 180.
- It was Streicher's third time this season finishing in the top five of an event.
- Laura Klaessy shot an 88 on day two, setting a new career-low round as a Storm player.
- Klaessy and Streicher both shot an 88 to tie for second in the final round.
- The Storm's team total of 360 on day two was a 17 stroke improvement from the team's day one total.
