Storm softball to host hitting league beginning in January

INDIANOLA, Iowa — The Simpson softball team and head coach Brent Matthias will host a Winter Hitting League for softball players in grades 5-12 beginning Sunday, Jan. 8 at Simpson's Cowles Fieldhouse in Indianola. 

The league will span four Sundays in January -- the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th. Time slots are in 50-minute increments with the first session beginning at 9 a.m. and the last beginning at 12 p.m. Cost is $100 per player. Each time slot is limited to 20 players.

Time preferences aren't guaranteed and will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis.
