BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Tim Griffin scored the game's only goal and the Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team beat Simpson 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
One day after a dramatic, 2-1 conference win over Dubuque, the Storm (5-6-1) struggled offensively, getting outshot 19-3 on the day.
Griffin's goal came early in the contest, getting an assist from Danny Kenny in the 15th minute for the Titans (5-4).
Luke Aronow made four saves in goal for Simpson, which returns to conference play Wednesday when it hosts Cornell at 7 p.m.
