Men's golf fires season-best round to close IIAC Championship
WAVERLY, Iowa -- The Simpson men's golf team turned in its lowest round of the season Saturday to close the 2018 Iowa Conference Championship in seventh place.
The Storm shot 297 from Prairie Links Golf Course -- its first sub-300 round of the season -- to finish 12 shots back of Wartburg and 16 ahead of Coe.
Andrew Lallier carded a team-low 72 and Nathan Eaton shot a 73 as the duo tied for 17th in the individual standings.
Nick Hartman shot a 75, Korbin Sesker 77 and Blake Bender 78. Every Storm golfer posted or matched his tournament-best round Saturday.
Nebraska Wesleyan won the team title by six strokes over Central.
