Storm hold steady in 7th after IIAC third round

WAVERLY, Iowa -- The Simpson men's golf team held steady in seventh place after shooting 316 in the third round of the Iowa Conference Tournament from Prairie Links Golf Course on Friday.

The Storm go into the final round with a team score of 948, 15 strokes behind Wartburg and three ahead of Coe. Central and Nebraska Wesleyan are tied for the lead at 905.

Nathan Eaton carded the low round of the day with a 77. Korbin Sesker shot 78, putting the duo in a tie for 20th in the individual standings.

Simpson tees off with Coe and Buena Vista at 9 a.m. Saturday to close the four-round tournament.
