ST. PAUL - Shane Manor scored a game-high 25 points Friday night, leading UW-River Falls to a 90-69 win over Simpson at the Northwestern Tip-Off Tournament.
Manor went 10-for-13 from the field, pacing a 50 percent shooting effort for the Falcons (2-0). He added seven rebounds.
Aaron Anderson scored 15 points on 5 of 8 shooting from beyond the arc and Brady Hannigan came off the bench to score 11.
Zack Barragan led the way with 15 points and a pair of threes for the Storm (0-2), who will face the loser of the Northwestern and North Central matchup at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Seth Hutcheson scored 11 off the bench, adding a team-best five rebounds. Rob King chipped in with eight points and four rebounds in 11 minutes of play.
The Storm grabbed an early lead in the contest, thanks to back-to-back triples from Barragan to start the game. But a 3-pointer from Anderson broke an 8-8 tie with just over 17 minutes remaining in the first half and the Falcons never looked back.
River Falls went on to score 55 points in the first half, opening a comfortable 22-point advantage at intermission.
