Buchheit, Lucht pace women at Bradley

PEORIA, Ill. -- At the Bradley Intercollegiate Invitational on Friday, the Simpson women's cross country team finished 13th out of 20 teams that were mixed of NCAA Divsion I, II, III and NAIA squads.

Emily Buchheit led the women with a time of 20:09.5 to finish 81st during the three mile race. Buchheit was followed by Cat Lucht in 87th, Katie Murano in 93rd and Kyli Orr in 95th.

"Coach Kirby came up with an excellent race plan for our women and it was fun watching them execute it. I thought they performed well considering how hot and humid the weather was. Emily Buchheit and Cat Lucht had excellent races to lead us."
