Simpson Women win Buxton Invite

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- The Storm women's cross country team had six runners finish in the top-10 to help Simpson win the Buxton Invite with 35 points on Friday at Pickard Park.

Senior Audrey Klein ended in fifth place to lead the team with a mark of 17:01.4. Katie Murano, Kyli Orr, Sophie Hall, Cat Lucht and Emily Buchheit rounded out the top-10 marks for the Storm.

Out of the team's five top runners at the meet, four of them were sophomores, which showcases the youngl talent on the team.

The closest team to Simpson was Graceland (65) and then Buena Vista (79) to close out the top-three schools at the meet.
