Streicher, Elam lead Storm at Clarke Fall Invite

GALENA, Ill. -- In their first collegiate event for Simpson College women's golf, freshmen Madeline Streicher and Taylor Elam collected a pair of top-four finishes to help the squad place third at the Clarke Fall Invitational on Wednesday.

Dubuque took home first with a 354, while Viterbo ended second with a 368. Simpson carded a 381 and Clarke tallied a total of 433.

Streicher produced an 88 to capture third place, just three strokes behind the medalist. Elam ended in a tie for fourth after carding an 89.

Senior Averi Peck was just outside the top 10 with a 101 to finish 12th, while sophomore Sydney Stephenson tied for 14th. Sophomore Hannah Mulligan rounded out the squad in 20th.
