Men's swimming places eighth thanks to six, top-10 performances

GRINNELL, Iowa - The Simpson men's swimming and diving team turned in six, top-10 efforts en-route to an eighth-place finish at the Pioneer Classic this weekend.

Kyle McKim led the way, taking fourth in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.52) and sixth in the 200 breaststroke (2:20.91) as the Storm took part in their first multi-team meet of the season.

Dylan Gray placed 10th in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.75), JJ Hansen took second in 3-meter diving (268.75) and Phoenix Russell came in fourth in 1-meter diving.

The 800 freestyle relay team of Matthew Van Brogen, Michael Reuter, Nicholas Collison and James Tillison came in ninth (8:17.50)

Up next:  Simpson is off for a little more than a month, returning to action January 7th against Austin College (Texas).
