Beem named to D3football.com All-Region Team

INDIANOLA, Iowa - The list of accolades for Simpson's Jordan Beem continues to grow.

Already a First Team All-Iowa Conference pick and Second Team Academic All-American, the junior running back from Altoona, Iowa learned earlier this week he was selected to the D3football.com 2015 All-West Region Third Team.

Beem is Simpson's first all-region performer since Brad Vogel in 2013.

The 5-8, 175-pound Beem led the Iowa Conference in rushing and all-purpose yards, racking up 1,254 yards on the ground and 1,529 all-purpose yards. He scored 15 total touchdowns, getting 13 on the ground. 

Beem put up career numbers in 2015, setting career-bests in rushing yards, carries (232), yards per carry (5.4), touchdowns, receptions (15), receiving yards (254) and receiving touchdowns (2). He also returned two kicks for 28 yards.

Linfield swept the West Region Player of the Year awards. Defensive end Alex Hoff was named 2015 West Region Defensive Player of the Year, while quarterback Sam Riddle was named West Region Offensive Player of the Year. St. Thomas coach Glenn Caruso was named D3football.com West Region Coach of the Year.
