Jacobs named to Millikin Classic All-Tournament Team

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- Following a strong offensive performance at the Millikin 5 State Classic last weekend, junior Jessica Jacobs was named to the All-Tournament Team on Monday afternoon.

This is Jacobs' third time being named to an all-tournament team this season.

Jacobs tallied 39 kills over the weekend including 18 in Simpson's 3-0 sweep of Westminster (Mo.) on Saturday afternoon. She also added 13 digs, an assist, an ace, and a block.

In her first season with the Storm, the Waverly-Shell Rock native has registered double-digit kills on nine occasions including six of her last seven contests. Jacobs leads the team with 217 kills and ranks first in the American Rivers Conference with 3.88 kills per set.

The Storm (7-9, 4-1 A-R-C) return to action this weekend with a couple of tough matchups against A-R-C opponents. Simpson travels to Waverly on Friday to face No. 5 Wartburg before a visit to Cedar Rapids to take on the Kohawks Saturday evening.
