Storm topped by Jimmies, Coyotes

McPHERSON, Kan. – The Simpson College men's volleyball team ended up on the wrong side of two 3-0 decisions on Thursday, concluding their trip to Kansas with losses against Jamestown and Kansas Wesleyan.

Jamestown (15-3) swept the Storm with set scores of 25-12, 25-18 and 25-16, while Kansas Wesleyan (9-15) won 25-10, 25-9 and 25-10.

Simpson (0-6) finished the day with 27 kills and had its strongest offensive performance in the middle set of both games, knocking down eight kills in each. Anthony Potratz led the Storm with six kills overall, while Treye Teske and Darin Gordon each registered five.

Rylee Carlson (17) and Max Robinson (12) both finished the day with double-digit digs and Robinson added 19 assists. Potratz logged three blocks and two aces, both team-highs.
