Storm men’s tennis senior trio honored

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- The Simpson men's tennis team is honoring its three seniors for their contributions and leadership to the program over the last few years for the Storm.

Brett Dewerff, Karson Richardson and Matt Turnley were in the midst of their senior season when it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 epidemic. The senior trio and the rest of the men's tennis squad were 3-9 overall and 0-3 in American Rivers Conference play during the middle of their spring slate.

Comments from head coach Matt Price
"It has been such a pleasure coaching these seniors. Watching these three guys grow not only as players, but into responsible and capable young men has been very special. Each one of these guys brought their own style of dedication, work ethic and leadership to our program.

Even with a shortened season, the hard work they brought in day after day will not be forgotten. The way they conducted themselves on the court is something they should be very proud of and will carry over into the next phase of their lives. I am very thankful as a coach to have had the opportunity to work with each one of these individuals. Thank you so much for your hard work, leadership and the example that you set for the younger players. You've made your team and Simpson College very proud!"
