Strong rounds from Lindenman, Molstead lead Storm at Saint John's

SAUK CENTRE, Minn. - Led by strong final rounds from Trent Lindenman and Nathan Molstead the Simpson men's golf team finished 12th of 20 teams at the Saint John's Invitational on Sunday at Greystone Golf Course.

Simpson shot 316 each round to close the weekend at 632, two ahead of Bethel II and three strokes out of a top-ten showing. Host Saint John's (591) won the team competition by seven strokes over St. Thomas.

Lindenman propelled himself to a top-10 finish by carding a 1-over 73 in the final round, giving him 149 for the weekend and a tie for seventh overall. Molstead trimmed four strokes from the first round, closing with a 3-over 75 to finish the weekend at 154, tied for 22nd.

Nick Hartman shaved 10 strokes from the first round, closing strong with an 83. Korbin Sesker and Shaan Desai each shot 85 on the par 72, 7,059-yard layout.
