26 spring athletes named Academic All-Conference
CEDAR RAPIDS - Twenty-six Simpson student-athletes competing in six spring sports earned Iowa Conference All-Academic honors, as announced by the conference office Tuesday.
To be eligible for IIAC All-Academic Team honors a student-athlete must compete at the varsity level, be at least a sophomore in academic standing, have attended the nominating institution for at least one academic year, and attain a 3.5 or better grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
Simpson's 26 honorees were second to Luther's 53. Following Simpson were Wartburg (24) and Loras (23).
The women's track & field team placed the most on the team with 10, followed by softball with six, men's track & field with five and baseball with four.
