Simpson back to receiving votes in National Coaches’ Poll

NEW ORLEANS -- Just days after earning the highest regional ranking in program history, the Simpson College men's cross country team is back to receiving votes in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Coaches' Poll.

Simpson sits just outside the Top-35 with four votes. The Storm were previously listed in the USTFCCCA Preseason Poll released on Aug. 25., and most recently earned the No. 6 spot in the highly-competitive Midwest Regional Rankings.

Simpson joins two other American Rivers Conference schools in the poll including top-ranked Wartburg which collected 350 points. Loras is the other conference opponent in the rankings, coming in at No. 18 after jumping seven spots in the poll.

The team has just over a week left to prepare for the A-R-C Championships taking in place in Decorah, Iowa on Oct. 30.
