Storm place fourth at conference championships
DECORAH, Iowa - The Simpson College men's swimming and diving team placed fourth at the American Rivers Conference Championships.
The Storm collected 72.5 total points and saw multiple athletes set personal and season bests.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The Storm ended up defeating Coe in the overall standings, marking the second time they placed higher than the Kohawks this season.
- Jay Ceperley broke 50 seconds in the 100 yard freestyle for the first time in his career, swimming a 49.78.
- Gabe Bruns also set a season best in the event with a time of 53.27.
- Christopher Olds knocked over 10 seconds off his personal best in the 1,650 freestyle, swimming a 18:20.57 to claim sixth place in the event.
- Ceperley, Bruns, Olds, and Nathan Parkins took fourth in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:35.51, the fastest time in the event by the Storm this season.
