Storm place 10 on NABC Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Simpson men's basketball team placed 10 student-athletes on the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court for the 2018-19 season, the NABC announced Wednesday.

Seniors Taylor Filbert, Cayce Good, Ben Rajewski and Tyler Stumbo, along with juniors Jared Bacon, Nick Janssen, Adam Reiter, Conor Riordan, Kenton Thoms and Kyle Wagner filled the list for head coach Brad Bjorkgren's squad, surpassing six selections from a year ago for the Storm. Simpson tied for first in the nation with its 10 selections.

2018-19 NABC Honors Court

In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet the following qualifications:

1. Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.
2. Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2018-19 academic year.
3. Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
4. Member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.

Filbert, Good, Rajewski and Stumbo earn the distinction for the second time in their careers and Bacon, Janssen, Reiter, Riordan, Thoms and Wagner are all first-time honorees.
