Top coaches to speak at Midwest Basketball Coaches Clinic

The Simpson men's basketball program announced Monday that it will host the inaugural Midwest Basketball Coaches Clinic in the fall. The coaches clinic is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, October 4-5, 2013 and will take place at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa.

The clinic, intended for both male and female coaches, features ten keynote speakers and will give a unique glimpse into the coaching philosophies and strategies of some of the most accomplished basketball coaches in the Midwest. Clinicians and schedule for this year's Midwest Basketball Coaches Clinic is as follows:

Unique to the Midwest Basketball Coaches Clinic are the options of signing up as a coaching staff or as an individual. No matter the number of coaches directly associated with your program – we strongly encourage your entire staff to take part in this outstanding educational opportunity at an affordable price. The cost of the clinic for an entire staff is $225 for advance registration and $250 for walk-up registration. Cost of the clinic for individuals is $75 for advance registration and $90 for walk-up registration.

Check-in for the co-ed clinic will be on Friday, October 4th from 4:30pm to 6:00pm at the Hubbell Ballroom, located in the Kent Campus Center at Simpson College. During check-in there will be a complimentary supper, presented by Decker Sporting Goods. Clinic favors are also included in the registration cost.

All lecture and on-court sessions with players will be held at Cowles Fieldhouse, adjacent to the Kent Campus Center.

Parking is permitted next to the Kent Campus Center on C and D Street. In addition, parking lots are available on D Street directly to the north and west of the Kent Campus Center and to the south of the Blank Performing Arts Center.

Recruitable age participants (male or female currently in the 7th-12th grade, junior college, or prep school) are not permitted to register or attend the coaches clinic.
