37 fall athletes named IIAC Academic All-Conference
INDIANOLA - A total of 37 Simpson student-athletes competing in fall sports earned Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) Academic All-Conference honors during the 2010 season.
Simpson placed the fourth-most student athletes in the conference on the team, which requires a sophomore academic standing and a cumulative GPA at or above 3.5.
The Simpson honorees comprised of 16 sophomores, 15 juniors and 6 seniors. The football team had 11 student-athletes honored, followed by women's cross country (8), women's soccer and women's tennis (4 each), volleyball, men's soccer and men's cross country (3 each) and women's golf (1).
In all, 282 student-athletes throughout the Iowa Conference earned recognition.
