Storm compete at ITA Midwest Region Championships, Gustavus Invite

ST. PETER, Minn. -- The Simpson women's tennis team competed in the first day of the ITA Midwest Regional Championships and the Gustavus Adolphus Fall Invitational on Friday.

Sierra Griffith earned a win in the first round of the Gustavus Invite, beating Wis.-Oshkosh's Ireland Slattery 8-6 before bowing out to Cory Eull of Luther. After losses in the first round, both Megan Grubb and Kelly Kuebler earned wins in the consolation bracket before losing.

Emily King and Kayla Reusche competed in the ITA Midwest Regional Championship Singles bracket, losing in the first round. The duo will compete in the consolation bracket Saturday.
