Women’s tennis falls in IIAC opening matches
DUBUQUE, Iowa — The Simpson women's tennis team opened Iowa Conference play on the road Saturday, falling to Loras and Dubuque in the Key City.
Simpson started the day with a 7-2 loss to Dubuque before losing to Loras by the same tally.
Megan Bradley went 2-0 in singles on the day, holding down the No. 2 spot in the lineup for the Storm (2-2, 0-2 IIAC). She beat Dubuque's A. Palacios-Quinonez 6-2, 6-0 and Loras' Erin McGivern 6-3, 6-0.
Bradley teamed up with Carter Stacey to earn a close 9-8 (9-7) win at No. 2 doubles in the Dubuque match while Kayla Reusche and Cassidy Bierbrodt earned an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles against Loras.
A senior from Johnston, Bradley improves to 4-0 in singles on the season.
