Women’s golf opens spring tournament season at Graceland

MARYVILLE, Mo. — The Simpson women's golf team opened the tournament portion of its spring schedule at the cold, rain-shortened Graceland Invitational on Friday, placing seventh of seven teams. Saturday's second round of play at Mozingo Lake Golf Course was cancelled due to rain.

The duo of Haley Booton and Courtney Mabeus paced the Storm, as each shot 96 to tie for 26th. Lydia Martin carded a 98 to tie for 32nd, Madison Hance shot 100 to tie for 37th and Kelsa Berkland shot 101 to tie for 41st. 

Cassady Carmichael (102, t-43rd), Kelsey Poppe (115, t-49th) and Lexi Wagner (117, 50th) rounded out the lineup.
