Storm men’s swimming competes at Morningside

SIOUX CITY, Iowa -- The Simpson men's swimming team finished with four personal bests as they lost to Morningside 167-28 on Saturday.

Blake Kakacek swam his best 100 backstroke of the season with a time of 1:07.22, finishing fourth place in the event. Kakacek bested his previous time of 1:07.24 set against the Iowa State Club earlier this month. Kakacek also set a personal best in the 100 individual medley with a time of 1:10.78. Kakacek also swam in the 200 freestyle relay.

Harrison Smith finished fifth in the 100 freestyle with a PR time of 1:00.58, besting his time of 1:02.20. Austin Andes also had his best time of the year with his 1:04.43 time in the 100 IM.
