Swimming teams earn second academic honor of 2015-16
INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson swimming and diving program has earned Scholar All-America Team honors for the 2016 spring semester, as announced by The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
In order to be selected for the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, college and university programs must achieve a grade point average of 3.00 or higher during the spring semester.
The men's and women's teams both qualified for the team for the second time in the 2015-16 academic year, with the women's team posting a 3.43 GPA and the men finishing with a 3.00. The teams also earned placement on the team during the fall semester.
Simpson had five Iowa Conference All-Academic performers in 2015-16: Tori Haag, Marissa Stepleton, Erica Carlson, and Maria Claussen for the women, and Michael Reuter for the men.
