Nick Joslyn receives prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

Simpson graduate Nick Joslyn, an Academic All-American soccer player for the Storm, recently added to his list of accomplishments when he earned a Postgraduate Scholarship from the NCAA.
Bob Nutgrass appointed Athletic Director

Simpson College President Jay Simmons announced Wednesday that Bob Nutgrass, a long-time staff member and current assistant athletic director, will become the college’s next Athletic Director. He replaces Brian Niemuth, who has held the role for the past five years in addition to serving as the head women’s basketball coach.

Simpson senior men’s soccer player Garrett Pochop brought home the nation’s top academic honor for men’s soccer when he earned 2017 CoSIDA Division III Academic All-America of the Year honors, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) on Tuesday.

Due to the threat of inclement weather in Central Iowa on Saturday afternoon, the men's and women's soccer games between Simpson and Wartburg have been postponed to Sunday, Oct. 22 at Buxton Stadium. The women's game will begin at 11 a.m. followed by the men's game at 1:30 p.m. The Senior Recognition Ceremony will be held between games.
