McChesney named NWCA Scholar All-American

MANHEIM, Pa. – Simpson College wrestling senior Dylan McChesney was named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association Scholar All-America Team, as announced by the organization on Friday.

"On behalf of NWCA Board of Directors, it is my honor to recognize these exceptional athletes and teams," said NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer. "Wrestling takes much focus and sacrifice and we are proud to honor these wrestlers for their obvious commitment to their academic pursuits!"

McChesney, a business management and marketing communications double major, compiled a 20-5 record during his senior campaign. He boasted an 11-match win streak midway through the season, winning Central's Under Armour Invitational and picking up four of his five American Rivers Conference wins during that span. The Northglenn, Colo. native tallied 13 pins throughout the season, giving him 34 in the last four years. McChesney concluded the season with a seventh place finish at the NCAA Lower Midwest Regionals.
