Mabeus named All-American Scholar

INDIANOLA, Iowa - Courtney Mabeus has been named an All-American Scholar by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), as announced earlier this week.

A minimum grade point average of 3.50 is required to be selected onto this national academic team. A total of 828 women's collegiate golfers across all divisions were given the honor this year.

A sophomore golfer from Mount Pleasant, Iowa, Mabeus is double-majoring in sports administration and management. She was also named to the All-Iowa Conference Academic Team for the 2015-16 season.

Mabeus was one of the Storm's top golfers throughout her sophomore campaign. She turned in Simpson's best score in 4 of 10 competitions throughout the season, shooting the team's low round for the year with an 83 at the Simpson Fall Invitational. She led the Storm at the IIAC Tournament, placing 19th in the individual standings.
