STORM LAKE, Iowa – Doryn Paup scored a career-high 16 points to lead the Simpson College women's basketball team to a 92-49 win over Buena Vista in the final regular season game of the season.
The Storm move to 9-7 in American Rivers Conference play with the win and will be the No. 5 seed in the upcoming league playoffs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Simpson opened up a double-digit lead less than three minutes into the game after back-to-back triples by Elle Street and Dylan Holland made the score 12-2.
- The Storm led 24-11 at the conclusion of the first and used a 19-5 run in the second period to carry a 47-25 advantage into the locker room.
- The Beavers managed just two field goals in the third quarter as Simpson added 31 points to its total led by Doryn Paup (8) and Molly Lutmer (7).
- The Storm outscored the hosts 16-11 to collect their fifth victory of 40 or more points this season.
