Storm place 16 on NFCA Scholar-Athlete list
INDIANOLA, Iowa -- The Simpson softball team placed 16 student-athletes on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Scholar-Athlete list for the 2019 campaign. As a unit, the Storm had a collective grade-point average of 3.68.
Emily Bell, Camrey Leo and Kayla Reusche all maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA to pace the team. Lizzy Adams, Ashley Allen, Olivia Allen, Amron Born, Mackenzie DePhillips, Brooke Fonley, Kelli Hanson, Mary Leopold, Claire Oetting, Georgia Porter, Randie Richmond, Kayley Thomas and Kat Velasquez were also recognized for their achievements in the classroom.
To be selected, a student-athlete must have a minimum GPA of 3.5.
