Storm place third in final tuneup before conference championships

DIKE, Iowa - The Simpson College men's golf team placed third at the Redtail Spring Shootout, the team's final tournament before the American Rivers Conference Championships.

The Storm were led once again by Jack Wahman, who tied for fourth with a score of 76. Bradley Kofoed tied for 10th with a 79, with the next three golfers all being a part of the Storm's scoring lineup. Jacob Peterson was the top individual with a score of 86.

HIGHLIGHTS

• The Storm fired a total of 322 to take the bronze, just two shots behind second place.
• Wahman recorded his first top-five finish of the season for the Storm.
• The sophomore also led the Storm at a tournament for the second time this season.
• Kofoed fired a 79 to tie for 10th, his first career top 10 finish.
• Out of the 14 golfers, the Storm's top five were all in the scoring lineup.

UP NEXT
The Storm begin play at the three-day A-R-C Championships on Sunday in West Des Moines. The Storm will have familiarity with Glen Oaks Country Club after facing off with Central on the course earlier this month.
