Bob Nutgrass appointed Athletic Director

Simpson College President Jay Simmons announced Wednesday that Bob Nutgrass, a long-time staff member and current assistant athletic director, will become the college’s next Athletic Director. He replaces Brian Niemuth, who has held the role for the past five years in addition to serving as the head women’s basketball coach.
Holmes named all-region

Meints set to compete in all-star game

Simpson senior Braden Meints will represent the Storm football team at the 20th annual Tazón De Estrellas (Bowl of the Stars) on Saturday, Dec. 16 in Tijuana, Mexico.

Simpson senior football player Jake Stearns has been named to the 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Wednesday.

Simpson football players Jake Stearns and Ryan Lehr have been named to the 2017 CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 First Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. As first team selections, both advance to the Academic All-America Team ballot.
