Jonathan Greiner had three hits and sparked a four-run third inning that helped the Simpson baseball team pull away in a 9-5, game-two win in a doubleheader split against No. 8 Wartburg on Sunday. Wartburg won game one 5-0.

Matt Pennings had his best outing of the season and the Simpson baseball team provided plenty of run support in a 9-1, game two win over Central to split Tuesday’s doubleheader. Central won the opener 9-3.

Nick Anderson tied a school record with three doubles and the Simpson baseball team pounded out 14 hits, beating Buena Vista 18-5 to split Saturday’s doubleheader. Buena Vista won game one 5-2.

Devan Wicks drove in all three runs and Matt Pennings tossed a six-out save as the Simpson baseball team beat Buena Vista 3-1 in the first game of a doubleheader split on Friday. Buena Vista came back to win the nightcap 5-4 in 13 innings.
