In six seasons under the direction Chase, the Storm have undergone steady improvement, highlighted by back-to-back, 10-win seasons in 2011-12 and 2012-13. Chase is 44-78 overall at Simpson.

In 2012-13, the Storm went 11-10, giving the program its first consecutive 10-win seasons since 2002-03. Chase led Simpson to a 4-3 mark in the Iowa Conference, good for fourth place in the league standings and the best finish by a Simpson team since 2000-01.

In 2011-12 she guided the Storm to a 10-8 mark, the first winning season under Chase and only the eighth, 10-win season in the program’s 39-year history. The fall season ended with a 5-2 triumph over Central at the Iowa Conference Tournament, giving the Storm fifth-place in the league while snapping a 14-match losing streak against the Dutch in the process.

Under Chase, four players have won individual conference titles: Alissa Nance at Flight B in 2008, Gwen Kingsbury at Flight C in 2008, Lindsay Nash at Flight C in 2010 and Michelle Hartman at Flight C in 2012. The doubles team of Tiffany Bost and Allison Anderson won the Flight B bracket in 2012. Simpson took home the ITA All-Academic Team Award (cumulative GPA of 3.20 or above) in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Prior to her tenure, Chase served as an assistant women’s tennis coach for Simpson from 2004-06.

An Indianola, Iowa native, Chase was a two-sport athlete for Coe College competing in tennis and softball.
